Principles of our Curriculum

Our educational system

1 – 4 grades:

-       all day long education
-       developing persuit
-       movements developing with music
-       teaching a foreign language in groups according to the number of students from the 3rd
-       teaching learning
-       everyday physical education
-       ability and community developing lessons with wooden games
-       cooperative teaching methods
-       musical-mothertongue education

5 – 8 grades:
-       afternoon session, study group
-       from the 5th grade studying foreign language in language in groups according to ability with a specialized groups
-       from the 6th grade studying Mathematics in groups according to ability with a specialized group
-       the 8th grade – possibility of summative exam
-       everyday physical education
-       ability and community developing lessons with wooden games
-       cooperative teaching methods
-       musical-mothertongue education

World-Language Program:

-       German, English and Russian language

Community Centre

The Centre has got a stage and a theatre hall for 250 people and a room for clubs. In addition there is a small library in it.

There are several small cultural communities and clubs in the centre which define the image of Szandaszőlős.

  Training discipline:

2 preparatory grade levels (2×45 minutes/week)

6 basic grade levels (5×45 minutes/week)

4 post-basic grade levels (5×45 minutes/week)

   

Regular performances:

-          Workshops in accordance with different holidays and seasons

-          Christmas performance for other non-dancing students of the school

-          Different performances at the end of each
academic year

-          Dance-camps throughout summer holiday

-      Performances abroad

 

Development of movement by means of music:

-          Scheduled in the first two grade levels
(45 minuters/week)

-          Stimulating movement-development

-          Equivalization of different disadvantages due to differing development-rythms

       Folk-music education: flute, violin, viola, zither
